How much space does the Tetravan Folding Shower take up in my van?
Almost none. The shower nests into a 21.75" wide × 30.75" tall × 3.5" deep recess (plus 3.5" behind for plumbing and hose storage — about 7" total depth). When folded, only the handle protrudes into your living space, just 2.625". Deployed, it converts your entryway or aisle into a full-size private shower in under a minute.
What are the cutout dimensions for installation?
Cut a 22" wide × 32" tall opening starting at floor level. The outer flange measures 23.25" × 32.5" and face-mounts over the cutout with 12 quarter-inch holes (wood screws included; bolts and 1" 8020 extrusion also work). Full technical drawing available on this page.
Will it fit my Sprinter, Transit, or ProMaster?
Yes — it's designed for all three, plus travel trailers, truck campers, and boats. It mounts to a sink cabinet side, a bed-front bulkhead, or under a modular bed panel. You need roughly 7" of depth and 32.5" of height at the mounting location.
When will my shower ship?
Folding Showers are in stock and ship fast from the USA. You'll receive tracking as soon as your order leaves our facility. We ship within the contiguous US, to Canada, and to select European countries.
What's included in the box?
The folding shower unit (matte black, duplex stainless steel), magnetic zipped shower curtain (front, left, or right entry), pre-installed Shower Port System with stainless push-button shower head, quick-connect hose, mixer valve and head mount, a Scandvik 1.5" straight drain fitting, and a magnetic mesh pouch for hose and curtain storage.
Do I need a water heater or pump?
Yes — you'll need a 12V water pump (we recommend Shurflo or Seaflo) and a water heater; see our Pundmann water heaters for recommendations. The shower connects via standard 1/2" NPS-F hot and cold fittings, and most builds share the sink's hot water supply and drain to keep installation simple.
How does drainage work?
The patented drain design directs water into a 2"-deep trough, so you can shower even when parked on uneven terrain, and a drip edge catches the last drops when you fold it up. The drain accepts a standard 1.5" threaded fitting and exits through a hole drilled in the van floor beneath the gutter — run it to a grey tank or ground per local rules.
Will it rust or rattle while driving?
No. The shower is laser-cut from anti-corrosive duplex stainless steel with marine-grade fixtures, and a marine compression latch holds it shut so there's no road vibration or rattle. The matte powder coat is textured for grip and durability.
How is this different from a wet bath or portable shower?
A permanent wet bath consumes 6–10 sq ft of floor space full-time; portable showers offer no privacy and constant setup hassle. The Tetravan gives you a real indoor hot shower that disappears into 3.5" of wall depth when you're done — full function, zero footprint. It's patented (U.S. Patent No. 12082755) and made in the USA.
Can I install it myself?
Yes — it's built for DIY and professional installers alike. If you can cut an opening and drill a drain hole, you can install it: flush-mount the flange, connect hot/cold lines, and attach the drain. How much does it weigh?
65 lbs installed. If weight is critical, ask about our aluminum version.
