How many brackets do I need?
One MOAB supports a countertop extension up to 20" wide. For wider extensions, workstations, or a fold-down bench/jump seat, use two — the MOAB Bracket Pair saves you over $30 vs. buying singles.
What are the dimensions?
11.75" long, 7.5" wall-mount height, 3" wide. The bracket folds flat against the wall when stowed.
Will it rattle or bounce while driving?
No. A pressurized gas strut holds the folded extension locked down tight, and dual magnets add a second layer of security — no bounce, no vibration, no squeak on washboard roads.
How does it fold down and lock?
A large spring-loaded release handle operates smoothly even in tight spaces: lift to deploy until the bracket locks flat, pull the handle to fold it away. One-handed operation.
What can I build with it?
Countertop extensions, fold-down desks and workstations, galley extensions, tables, and — paired — fold-down bench seats. It works in vans, RVs, trailers, boats, garages, and tiny homes.
What hardware is included and how does it mount?
Each bracket ships with a complete install kit: 4 carriage bolts, 4 washers, 4 nyloc nuts, and 6 black 3/4" wood screws. Through-bolt it to panels and thin walls or screw it directly into wood framing and cabinetry.
How is this different from cheap folding brackets?
Typical marketplace brackets are thin steel with no locking system — they rattle, sag, and have vague weight ratings. The MOAB is 3" wide with a gas strut, magnetic latching, and a published, tested load rating. One MOAB replaces two flimsy brackets.
